Become a part of the legacy! By becoming a member of the EDT family, we are confident that you will learn valuable life lessons while embracing the importance of teamwork. We have a place for all dancers of all abilities. As long as you are willing to work hard, set goals and strive for excellence, we have a team that is just right for you! We have full competition teams, limited travel teams as well as performance teams. No matter what level team you are on, the experience is worth the hard work!
Auditions will be held on May 13 & 14, 2019 at the Dream Center. Our audition process is an assessment process where dancers learn, grow and become inspired. In the audition, dancers work side-by-side with other dancers in their age group. They will be given numerous opportunities to demonstrate their skills. Dancers will learn a short segment of jazz, pom, hip hop and kick. There will be a mandatory parent meeting for new parents in June after auditions. At this time you will need to provide us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate and insurance card, which will be kept confidential.
We will also offer an optional Audition Prep class which will be held on April 10, 11, 17, & 18 from 4:30-6:30pm. The fee is $40.00 for all four classes. Enroll online.
Registration for both the optional audition clinic as well as audition registration can be found here. An additional audition may be held to fill vacant positions or to move a dancer to a different team level. This may be a formal or informal process; it is the coach’s decision to recruit new members if necessary. If you have just moved to the area or you would like to set up a private assessment, there is always opportunities for dancers to be placed on a team throughout the season.
Audition Attire: Dancers should wear dance attire and jazz shoes. Hair should be secure.
Results: Results from auditions will be available after 8:00 PM the night of the final audition. Team rosters will be posted on our website at energizersdanceteam.com. Dancers will be placed on the team that best suits their individual skills as well as their age. Team placement will be left up to the sole discretion of the coaching staff. We wish each dancer the best of luck!
