TEAMS
All Stars, Junior, Youth, Mini, Tiny, and Prep Teams may compete at different levels depending upon overall team age and skill level. Dancers may be invited to cross compete and is determined by the coaching staff. Competitive levels are outlined below. Exceptions to the age guidelines may be made based on performance ability, maturity and average team age requirements.
Open Team
OPEN TEAM – 14 YEARS AND ABOVE
Approximately twelve different competitive events; Nationals, worlds, parades, performances, and local events. Season starts in May and ends in April. Involves travel without parents (i.e., summer camps and overnight competitions). Maturity level of the team should be considered (majority of the team will be high school level).
All-Star Team
Approximately twelve different competitive events; Nationals, worlds, parades, performances, and local events. Season starts in May and ends in April. Involves travel without parents (i.e., summer camps and overnight competitions). Maturity level of the team should be considered (majority of the team will be high school level).
Ideal for dancers who are serious about dance, enjoy performing for community events and competitions, participating in volunteer activities, traveling and dedicating themselves to the opportunities of the program.
Youth Team
YOUTH – 12 YEARS & BELOW
Approximately six different competitive events; Nationals, parades, performances, and local events. Season starts in May and ends through March and involves some team travel with parents. Ideal for dancers who enjoy performing, competing, and dancing.
Mini Team
MINI – 9 YEARS & BELOW
Approximately four different competitive events; Nationals, parades, performances and local events. Ideal for dancers who enjoy performing, competing and dancing but are not ready to make the large travel, financial or time commitment.
Tiny Team
TINY – 6 YEARS & BELOW
Approximately two different competitive events, parades, performances and local events. Ideal for dancers who enjoy performing, competing and dancing but are not ready to make the large travel, financial or time commitment.
